I just found Kahn as an aid for my homeschooledsed son for his math. Not only is it a great site on its won, you do a fantastic job of explaining how this type of learning is custom made for the Net Generation. Nice! -- Tim

Introduction to Faculty Inservice--BLOGGING
Brooke, great tips for teachers beginning to use blogging in their classes. Brad J
Becky Lutz: Introduction to student centered learning
Thank you for this. When we allow the student to take ownership and pride in the assignments along with giving them value, we allow them to become true learners. Brad J
Rachael Osborn: Bringing the Social Media Revolution to Education.
Rachel, this is so informative. I took to heart the stats where Facebook reached 50 million people in less than 12 months! Yes, we should embrace social media as school educators, administrators, and in ways to communicate with parents.... Things are happening so fast, and we need to 'jump on the bandwagon!'

Brad Jones: Blogging Lesson
Brad, I enjoyed your graphics, your sample lesson, and your ideas of how to use Blogs. I am inspired to start a Blog for next term. Like you said, the possibilities are endless!

Richard LaBrecque-Internet Safety
Richard,
This is my major fear of getting too involved with the internet.... Internet Safety. I need to learn how to manage my class while they are clicking the mouse. Thanks for the basic rules!
Lorraine
Richard -- I wish I could have watched this video before doing my student teaching last Fall '11 - you covered a lot of things about classroom management when using the internet / internet safety that hadn't occured to me as issues before I got exposure teaching, and its useful to see some basic rules outlined. Nice! -- Rachael Osborn
Krista Lazorik - Video Games
Krista, Love the implementation of the writing process as a tool to construct video games. I'm sure your students come to realize just how many characteristics of video games share with the literature they read in class. I hope that motivates them in reading as well as writing. Excellent job of using technology to reach a sometimes-underserved population by using video gaming in a fun and educational way! -- Tim
Krista -- I love love love that you connected Eng/LA with video games. This is something I would love to actually use in a future classroom someday. I think this could really draw in and engage students who otherwise might be disinterested in many reading/writing class projects. Creative and fun. Thanks for sharing. -- Rachael Osborn

Web 2.0 Tools - Blogging
Hi Doug - Thank you so much for including educators' blogs in your presentation. I find them to be a huge source of lesson inspiration. You pointed me towards some new bloggers and I look forward to being inspired by them! - Krista
Tim Mathew -- Use of Dropbox and Google Docs in online collaboration.
Hi Tim - I love Google Docs. I find it so simple to navigate, access, and use. My documents are always available, they're always the latest version, and they 'work' on both my personal Mac and my work-issued PC. I agree that they're an excellent tool to use in the classroom. Great presentation! - Krista
Tim -- Dropbox and Google Docs are a God-send to teachers! Not only are they great for us as the educator (and as a life-long student and learner) but they are fantastic for students as well - no longer does the "I forgot/lost my flash drive again" excuse cut it, and the fact that docs can be available anywhere on any tool I use - just plain fantastic.Enjoyed your presentation! -- Rachael Osborn

Mobile Technology
Terri,
Your video is very educational. I've read some articles about using mobile technology in the classroom. I agree with you that you have to have parameters in place before you allow the use in the classroom, so important! I think your video was very comprehensive and covered most every aspect of using mobile devices in the classroom.-Rich
